HOTELEX Shanghai: Connecting Global HoReCa Like Never Before
In 2023, the Year of the Rabbit, the catering and hotel tourism industry is fully recovering, returning with vigorous momentum, displaying strong vitality and confidence.
According to Meituan's most recent statistics, the number of restaurant orders booked in advance for Valentine's Day has significantly increased compared to last year.
Among them, Shanghai has the highest number of bookings nationwide, with cities such as Shenzhen, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Wuxi, and Ningbo seeing growth rates of over 120%. The cultural and tourism market has also achieved similarly impressive results.
According to Chinese government, for now it plans to focus on facilitating visa applications for foreign nationals traveling to China for business, employment, study, family visits and reunions. 2023 is a golden chance for import and export traders from food, beverage and catering industry to re-enter the market, and participate in Chinese exhibitions to trigger new prosperity.
With the return of consumer spending and economic growth, various industries are ready to seize new opportunities and face challenges. HOTELEX, the hotel and catering exhibition, is also moving forward confidently, embarking on a new journey.
As one of the three key events created during the '14th Five-Year Plan' period, and an important part of the 2nd Shanghai Tourism Industry Expo, the HOTELEX Shanghai International Hospitality Equipment & Food Service Expo (hereinafter referred to as HOTELEX Shanghai 2023) is under the guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism.
It will be held from May 29 to June 1, 2023 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai Hongqiao, Puxi).
The exhibition will cover an area of over 400,000 square meters, and is expected to attract over 250,000 professional visitors from the hotel and catering, commercial retail, leisure dining, cultural and tourism consumption, and health industries to visit and engage in trade exchanges with exhibitors. The number of exhibitors is estimated to exceed 3,000.
As spring unfolds and international travel resumes, old and new friends from home and abroad will be able to meet again. The 2023 Shanghai Tourism Industry Expo will bring together the entire industry chain of 'Eat, Stay, Travel, Shop, & Entertainment' professionals from the global tourism industry, pressing the fast-forward button to restart the industry!
The HOTELEX Shanghai 2023 takes 'Unbounded Dining, Sowing the Future' as its theme, presenting a professional and high-quality event for exhibitors and visitors in the industry's upstream and downstream.
